Education and sport
Damdek New Hope School, which works under Damdek New Hope Church, provides free education to children from impoverished families, aiming to help them break the cycle of poverty.
Program Name: Pre-School Program
Ages: The program is for children aged three to five.
Mission: The primary goal is to provide a safe and free learning environment. This also allows parents to find employment while their children are cared for.
Curriculum: The pre-school curriculum focuses on foundational skills. Children are taught: Khmer and Mathematics, English, Writing (basic literacy), Basic hygiene, Art
⚽ Summary of Sports and Activities
While the kindergarten program does not have formal “sports” teams, physical activity and play are a key part of the children’s daily routine.
Kindergarten (Pre-School): The focus is on active play. The curriculum includes:
Singing songs, playing games, listening to stories, and Other group activities involve movement and social interaction.
Older Students: For the older children in its broader education program, the school includes “sport” as part of the curriculum, alongside subjects like English, math, and computer skills.

We realized that we would have to invest our lives in Sotrnikum, Siemreap Cambodia because building spiritual men and women is not as easy as building houses, especially in a culture with a Buddhist foundation. The new Christians require much attention and fellowship. It is true that children and young people are more receptive to the Gospel as well as many hopeless widows whose hearts are ready to accept Christ and experience new lives because it is not natural for men and women to seek God unless God allows hardships in their lives to get their attention and draw them closer to Him.
